Our Guides

Born a Frankfurter, I never imagined that I would stay so closely connected to this city after studying History of Art, Archaeology and Education of Art. I founded the KULTUROTHEK in 1990, based on experience in adult education imparting knowledge on artistic and cultural subjects. Main purpose for establishing this agency was to create and offer a work environment for humanists and historians outside public structures, but also to inspire people to enjoy art and history in an independent setting.

After a couple of years as tour guide on the rivers of Europe, guiding for and working with an international audience, I decided it was time to stay in Frankfurt for good. As tour coordinator at KULTUROTHEK I plan full excursion programs for individuals and groups. Luckily I still get to enjoy being a tour guide as well, my specialty being Jewish tours in Frankfurt, the SchUM Cities, but also various other German cities I used to guide with my previous job.

Born a Badger, but a Frankfurter since 2010, I’m always excited to share my home with others. Whether it’s Frankfurt, the rest of Germany, or anywhere else in Europe, I enjoy broadening visitors‘ perspectives and making connections between both here and there and then and now. I continually draw on my education as a storyteller and a historian while on tour.
