SUMMARY:Guided tour of the ECB main building
DESCRIPTION:The ECB’s glass office tower in the east of Frankfurt rises strikingly into the sky. Anyone interested can take part in a guided tour to get a closer look at where the guardians of the euro work. Stages of the 90-minute tour include the listed and extensively renovated Grossmarkthalle\, the conference area with selected exhibits from the ECB’s art collection and the approximately 185-meter-high double office tower. \n \nThe building was designed by Viennese architect Wolf D. Prix and his architectural firm COOP HIMMELB(L)AU. During the tour\, interesting details about the construction\, energy efficiency and sustainability of the building are explained. The literal highlight of the tour is the ascent to the connecting level between the two office towers on the 27th floor. From there\, you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the city of Frankfurt and its surroundings. \nPhotos: ECB \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION: \n\n\n\nDuration:\napprox. 1.5 hours\n\n\nParticipation fee:\nfree of charge\n\n\nMeeting point:\n30 minutes before the start of the tour at the visitor entrance (security check)\, Sonnemannstraße 20.\nLast admission: 4:50 p.m.\n\n\n\nParticipation is only possible after prior registration. Each individual guest must be listed by name and date of birth. Access to the building is only permitted with a valid original passport. In the case of EU and EFTA nationals (Iceland\, Liechtenstein\, Norway and Switzerland)\, a valid original identity card is also sufficient. Driving licenses\, student or employee ID cards and residence permits are not accepted.\n\n\nPlease note:\nThe carrying of weapons\, dangerous objects and substances as well as large items of luggage is prohibited. Pets are not allowed.\n\n\nMinimum age:\n16 years\n\n\nAccessibility:\nThis tour is wheelchair accessible.
